The remains of Mexican-American student Nohemí González, who died in the terrorist attacks of November 13 in Paris, were received by her family in Los Angeles today.
The remains of "Mimi", as she was called by her family, arrived on a plane from Delaware and were deposited in a funeral home in Montebello.
Her funerals will be held on Friday in the Calvary Chapel in the city of Downey.
González, a student of industrial design who was in Paris as part of an academic exchange, died during the attacks in the French capital perpetrated by the jihadist group Islamic State, that left more than 130 dead.
"She was in the cafeteria of the restaurant Petit Cambodge" with other students, expressed Beatriz González, mother of the 23-year-old girl. "They went to meet with a teacher, who was wounded in the arm," she added.
González, who was born in Sylmar, California, went to school in Irapuato, Guanajuato, hometown of her mother, who migrated to the U.S. in 1989.
