Mexican weight lifter wins gold in Barranquilla 2018

Mexican athlete Tania Mascorro

won both a gold and a silver medal for the Women Weight Lifting category at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games .

During the +90kg Clean and Jerk final , Mascorro lifted 152 kg , setting a new record at the Central American competition . With this outstanding achievement, she beat the score of the Dominican Verónica Saladín and the former champion from Venezuela, Yaniuska Espinosa .
