Students from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) created an instant soup made from chickpeas in order to offer a quick, affordable, and healthy alternative.

The soup has been named “Ganu” and it provides the necessary nutrients to be considered as a healthier option.

Daniel Sánchez and Rafael Álvarez, who study Business Creation and Development, avoided using noodles, refined flour, and pasta.

But the instant soup is not only healthy and full of protein, but it is also friendly with the environment because the packaging is made from cornstarch, therefore, but it is also biodegradable.

Daniel Sánchez explained that “the project was born when I realized that many people around me, at school and in the street, consumed instant soups, Therefore, I focused on providing them with a new version that preserved practicality but without sacrificing the quality of the ingredients.”
