Violin player Scott Yoo was chosen as director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City.
Yoo, born in Japan on April 25, 1971, beat two other candidates: Srba Dinic and Enrique Barrios.
He replaces José Areán, objected by members of the orchestra who considered he did not have the “desired quality”.
