Alleged members of armed groups and settlers of different areas blocked at least four access roads leading to highways in the area known as Tierra Caliente, in the state of Michoacán.
The roads were blocked within a period of a couple hours on the Múgica-Apatzingán road, at least on one access, and three more on the Apatzingán-Tepalcatepec road.
According to the local security forces, there were some clashes between the Mexican army and the armed organization known as "H3", headed by Luis Antonio Torres "El Americano".
One of the people who organized the blockades and led the clashes was identified as César Ochoa, known as "El Morisqueto".
He is a sibling of soccer player Carlos Ochoa and operates under the orders of Gilberto Gómez "El Chanda," former lieutenant of the Knights Templar cartel.
At least two people were arrested in the village of Buenavista, but they have not been identified.
The detainees, according to preliminary reports, were heavily armed and faced the authorities before being arrested.
Some of their colleagues tried to rescue them and a yet to be determined number of them were detained. The H3 is supposed to work under orders of the Jalisco Nueva Generation cartel.
