The latest activism-inspired art project “Arising” by Japanese artist Yoko Ono will be displayed at the Memory and Tolerance Museum in Mexico City.

The Japanese artist invited all women of all ages and from all countries of the world to send her written statements about the struggles they have to face just for being women.

She also asked them to send a photo of only their eyes which will be displayed at the installation.

According to the website of the artist, a book of a selection of the women's statements and photos is also being prepared.

The collected material will be exhibited from February 2 to May 29 in Mexico City.
