Mexico must disclose messages exchanged with the U.S. about Ayotzinapa: INAI

The National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI) instructed the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) to conduct a thorough search and, if applicable, deliver all documents containing information on communications with U.S. government officials about the case of the 43 missing students of Ayotzinapa.

After a citizen requested information on the subject, the Ministry of National Defense said that no information was found, so he appealed the response and the INAI determined that both, SEDENA and the General Human Rights Direction must provide the requested information.
