15 years ago, Ana Claudia Talancón starred in the short film “El Umbral,” in which her character died and, on the next day, appeared with her family as if nothing had happened.

Now, in 2019, she will appear in an independent American production with a similar plot.

“It has to do with a character who lived a past that is no longer there. She then decides to take part in another person’s life,” she explained briefly.

“It is a movie of magical realism . I remember that short film but this one is different, it has to do with a charismatic male character who wins the heart of everyone who gets to know him. I will play his wife, but I am not allowed to disclose any further details,” she stated.

Known for her role in The Crime of Padre Amaro and Ladies Night , the Mexican actress visited the country’s capital to present the comedy “Perfect Strangers” in the framework of the International Film Festival of Morelia .

In the new movie, she plays the wife of a failed entrepreneur (Manuel García Rulfo) . Together, they go to a dinner party with other friends who force them to put their cellphones in the middle of the table so that everyone on the table can listen and see messages sent to each of the guests to read them out loud.

Cecilia Suárez, Mariana Treviño, Bruno Bichir, and Miguel Rodarte

are part of the cast directed by Manolo Caro , known for films such as Tales of an Immoral Couple , and I Don’t Know Whether to Cut My Veins or Leave Them Long, among others.

The movie premiere has been programmed for December 25 and January in the United States .

“I am very happy with the result, we had lots of laughs and the project allowed for us to blow off steam,” claimed Talancón.
