Who is jealous of Jesús Seade?
We've been told that in regards to the U.S. labor diplomats who will be deployed to Mexico after signing the USMCA , many noticed how some members of the cabinet celebrated the short-lived feud sparked by the provision proposed by the U.S. Congress because we've been told that not everyone agrees with the achievements made by fellow ministers. We've been told that the federal government is full of jealousy and envy , similar to what happened during previous administrations. In this case, it was clear who is not convinced about what it means to have reached a trade deal with the U.S. and Canada for López Obrador' s administration.
Third time’s the charm?
Yesterday, Undersecretary Jesús Seade left the Mexican embassy in Washington quickly, after hosting a news conference where he explained the U.S. implementation law for the USMCA . Seade was in a hurry because he had to take a plane back to Mexico so that he could be present during today's daily news conference with President López Obrador . We've been told that what alarmed some were the words said by the official while in Washington: “we've finished (…) for a second time” and acknowledged that, at least for now, “there are no other questionable things.” That means that they'll keep reading the USMCA to see if they missed anything else.

Rosario Robles’ lawyer prays to the Virgin of Guadalupe
After a series of unfortunate events, Rosario Robles ' lawyer is now praying to the Virgin of Guadalupe, to help him free the former minister from prison . We've been told that Julio Hernández Barros shared a picture of his visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe on social media. He asked the Virgin for “divine justice ” and prayed against “revenge and hate.” Who knows, there could be a miracle next year.
Will the minimum wage increase have a real impact?
Mexican business leaders and the federal government are working to increase the minimum wage to MXN $6,500 per month in the next four years. According to business leader Gustavo de Hoyos , a family of four can live with comfortable if the two providers earn this amount each. What he failed to mention was that if the minimum wage increases, so do mortgages , rent , the price of basic products , and inflation which doesn’t improve the economy .
