For this purpose, the National Electoral Institute (INE) has released a video and an infographic explaining the ways in which you will be able to cast your vote without spoiling the ballot.
Do:
- Mark the box corresponding to the political party you wish to vote for.
- Mark two boxes corresponding to two political parties registered under the same coalition you wish to vote for.
- Mark all the boxes corresponding to all the political parties registered under the same coalition you wish to vote for.
- Mark the box corresponding to the independent candidate you wish to vote for.
Don't:
- Mark the boxes corresponding to two or more political parties not registered under the same coalition.
- Mark one or more boxes corresponding to a political party and the box of one or more independent candidates.
- Mark the boxes of both independent candidates.
- Mark the entire ballot with a cross, letters, or any other symbol or letter.
Keep in mind:
- A blank ballot is also considered a spoilt vote.
- Although there is a box with the title “Unregistered Candidate” and a blank space to write down a name, ballots marked here shall not be considered.
