Morena members fighting for power in the Senate
We're told that next Wednesday , when Yeidckol Polevnsky , Morena's national president , meets with elected federal congressmen in Mexico City, they will analyze the legislative agenda they will launch during the 64th Legislature , and also, there will be an inquiry to select the parliamentary coordinators . We're told that the favorite one is Mario Delgado , while In the Senate , the fight is between Ricardo Monreal and Martí Batres . Nevertheless, let's not forget that Mr. Ricardo has AMLO's blessing to be the next legislator's coordinator. Mr. Martí has said that the bench's legislators will be in charge of choosing , that's why Monreal can't claim victory . As Morena will be the first political force in the Senate , they will occupy its presidency, so maybe the agreement will be that one is the coordinator and the other , president . Ambassadors tremble with fear over pay cuts
The austerity plan announced by the i ncoming administration has alarmed the External Mexican Service. We're told that some ambassadors have expressed their concerns about the possibility of a decrease in their salaries . They consider there's a wrong perception that they earn as much as high-ranking officials . They affirm that while most of them have a decent salary , it's not excessive compared to what some of their colleagues from smaller economies earn . Meanwhile, we're told that many of them are updating their résumés in case they need to migrate to the private sector.
