Enrique Ochoa Reza was sworn Tuesday as the new national leader of the ruling Revolutionary Institutional Party (PRI) of Mexico.

During an extraordinary meeting of the National Political Council of the PRI, former national leader María de Los Ángeles Moreno made a call for unity within the party.

She added that the party must act according to what it says, respect its members and keep them informed about its decisions. Also, she warned against allowing acts of corruption or abuse.
