Venezuelan authorities arrested ten people, among them a Mexican employee of Aeroméxico, in connection with 600 kilos of cocaine that were seized at Mexico City international airport on June 17.
Roberto Fermín Pérez, head of station and security of Aeroméxico, was arrested along with Elkin Fuentes and Víctor Molina, sargents of the National Bolivar Guard (GNB).
The drug was carried in eight suitcases in an Aeroméxico airplane coming from Maiquetía international airport in Vargas, Venezuela.

Other detainees are Simón Malavé and Evelyn Moreno, who work for the air security company SSAI 2021, as well as Darwin Linares, Andrés Málaga, David Orozco, Mervy Gómez and Reinier Burgos, employees of Airline Ground Service.
