500 houses affected by rain in Iztapalapa

Five hundred houses in Iztapalapa were affected by last night's heavy rain.

The most affected neighborhood is Unidad Habitacional Vicente Guerrero, with floods of up to 70 centimeters (2.3 feet) in the area surrounded by Genaro Estrada Avenue, Díaz Soto y Gama, Campaña de Ébano and Revolución Social.

Houses in Santa María Aztahuacán and Sideral neighborhoods were also affected.

In Iztacalco rain also affected houses in El Rodeo and Desarrollo Urbano Quetzalcóatl neighborhoods.

Mexico City government sent pumps to the area and said that more rains are expected today.
