A suspect in the murder of 11 family members in Coxcatlán, Puebla was arrested at the Sierra Negra, on the border between Puebla and Oaxaca.
Vicente López de la Vega, mayor of Coaxcatlán, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, whose identity will not be revealed due to the new criminal justice system that guarantees the presumption of innocence.
The prime suspect in the crime is an alleged rapist seeking revenge against a victim whose complaint had him jailed, a Mexican law enforcement official said last Saturday.

The Puebla state prosecutor's office said that one of the dead women had been raped and had a child by one of the attackers, apparently several years ago.
