Southern California authorities say a social media campaign by the vigilant mother of a fatal car-to-car shooting victim helped lead to the arrest of the remaining suspect in the 10-year-old killing.
Police say William Sotelo is in custody in Riverside after being arrested Friday in Mexico. The 28-year-old is accused of driving the car from which bullets were fired that killed Crystal Theobald in 2006.
Lt. Christian Dinco says Theobald's mother, Belinda Lane, exchanged messages with Sotelo on social media beginning in 2006.

In 2014 she learned via Facebook that Sotelo was in Mexico and alerted detectives.
Sotelo could face charges including murder. Dinco didn't know if he has a lawyer.
