President Enrique Peña Nieto met with business leaders in Denmark and told them that “it is a good moment to invest and grow in Mexico.”
At the Danish Industry Confederation President Peña Nieto said that Mexico is the second largest Latin American buyer of Danish products while Denmark has invested more than 2 billion euros in Mexico over the last years. He added that in 2015, Mexico's trade with Denmark reached almost 600 million euros, 14% more than in 2014, and that there are more than 200 companies with Danish capital operating in Mexico.
Peña Nieto said that in 2015 Mexico grew 2.5% and that this year the economy is expected to grow between 2.6 and 3.6%. He added that according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Mexico is ranked 9th. among the most attractive and reliable countries to invest in the world.

Karsten Dybvad, general director of the Danish Industry Confederation, said that the structural reforms undertaken in Mexico have transformed its economy and created prosperity for the people and companies.
Earlier in the day Lars Løkke, Prime Minister of Denmark, expressed his concern over attacks against freedom of expression and disappearances in Mexico and added that his country is ready to cooperate with Mexico in human rights.
