Nine trees fall in Mexico City, woman wounded

The strong winds caused a series of incidents in the metropolis.

A 50-year-old woman was injured when a tree fell over her in the metropolitan district of Iztapalapa, and the authorities of Mexico City reported a total of nine trees felled by the strong winds.





The Departments of Public Security and Civil Protection, as well as the firefighters have arrived at the areas affected by the felled trees.

The woman, so far the only reported victim of the incidents, was taken to a local hospital. No information about her condition has been provided.

In the district of Azcapotzalco the authorities reported three fallen trees, which damaged two cars, but left no victims.

A tree was reported in Iztacalco, as well as one each in Alvaro Obregón and Coyoacán.
