Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto presented a video marking the first three years of his administration, recognizing that it has faced demanding and adverse circumstances, going from hurricanes and other natural phenomena to a complex international environment, as well as unstable and low economic growth.

"And of course, the challenge that means the combat against criminal organizations, inequality, and poverty. With responsibility and the unity of all Mexicans we are moving forward," expressed Peña Nieto in the video, posted on social networks.

He expressed that in light of each one of these situations, "as president, it has been my task to make decisions, several of them difficult, some controversial, and others perhaps insufficient, but all the time -and I can say it with full conviction- I have always looked for the best interest of the families in the country."

In the Honor Courtyard of the National Palace, surrounded by students, workers, and military officials, Peña Nieto expressed that "Every one, every single one of the determinations that I have assumed as President of the Republic have the sole purpose of serving Mexico and the Mexicans".

Peña Nieto added that Mexico has an encouraging future and emphasized that the world economy will improve and when the time comes he is confident that Mexico will be among the nations under optimal conditions to move forward with a greater speed.

"Today we have less violence in the country, we have a stable economy with the lowest inflation in history, a more dynamic domestic market and the greatest growth on record in formal employment. Today, Mexico is transformed, Mexico evolves and in the following years Mexico will serve as an example of how the adversities are faced and overcame".
