Remains of 'Sandra' expected to land

Category two Hurricane Sandra will continue to weaken during the next few hours and it is expected to touch land on Sunday as a low pressure remnant northwest of Topolobampo, Sinaloa, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN).





The storm is at some 257 miles south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, and 313 miles south-southwest of Mazatlán, Sinaloa.

Sandra is moving on a north-northwest course at some 12 miles per hour, with sustained winds of 111 mph and gusts of 111 mph.
