Mexico City authorities say that Ana Guadalupe Vela, 63, is responsible for the death of 19 dogs at Condesa neighborhood in Mexico City.
However the woman, chemist, says that she would never harm a living being and that everything is a misunderstanding.
“I was eating quesadillas at Juan de la Barrera street corner with Pachuca when a woman with a big dog, I think a doberman, came by,” Ana Guadalupe said.
She explained that the dog made her feel uncomfortable and after asking its owner to move her pet away twice, she told her: “That is why dogs are being killed in Condesa, because you guys don't understand. Watch out because this dog may die too.”
Vela explained that she said this because the dog had stressed her out, but she denied being involved in the case.
However yesterday morning experts of Mexico City Attorney General's Office (PGJDF) raided her house and found two yellow envelopes with poison and two USB memory sticks with recordings of the streets surrounding Parque México.
She has not been arrested will the investigation continues.
