Parents of one of the 43 missing students got phone calls from their child's phone
The parents of Aníbal Cruz Mendoza asked the Attorney General's Office (PGR) to locate their son's mobile after receiving a phone call from his number on February 9, 2015.
Parents of one of the 43 missing students of Ayotzinapa received phone calls from their child's mobile phones five months after he disappeared in Iguala.
According to the preliminary investigation to which EL UNIVERSAL had access, the parents of Aníbal Cruz Mendoza asked the Attorney General's Office (PGR) to locate their son's mobile and obtain the call history log after receiving a phone call from his number on February 9, 2015.
Months before, in October 2014, his family had noticed that the telephone was connected to whatsapp, so they sent a message saying: “Hello. How are you?”. Even though the message was read, they did not receive a reply.
On September 27, 2014, Felipe Rodríguez Salgado, better known as “El Cepillo”, ordered Patricio Reyes Landa, aka “El Pato” to kill the students and burn any evidence, including their mobile phones, at the dump of Cocula. However, judging from the phone calls, Reyes did not follow the instructions of the criminal boss.
