The Department of Civil Protection of the state of Veracruz reported that three people were injured by a ray in the Nueva Suriana neighborhood of the municipality of Martínez de la Torre, in the middle of a storm.
The report identified the victims as Ricardo, Antonio and Arturo López Cruz, 27, 31 and 37-years-old respectively.
The victims were taken to a hospital. According to the report, they work at an orange orchard and were walking on an open field when they were struck.
