Mexican Senator Manuel Camacho dies from cancer

Mexican Senator Manuel Camacho Solís died in the early hours of the day after a lengthy bout with cancer, according to his family. He was 69-years-old.

The senator of the leftist Revolutionary Democratic Party died in his family home, and sources indicated that he will be buried in the French Cemetery in the area of San Joaquín.

Camacho was the Commissioner for Peace during the Zapatista National Liberation Army in the state of Chiapas and was Mayor of Mexico City.
