NGO demands justice for family of child murdered by playmates

The Network for the Rights of Children in Mexico (Redim for its Spanish acronym) called on Mexican authorities to ensure justice for the family of a 6-year-old boy that was murdered last week by a group of children aged between 11 and 15 in Chihuahua.
The incident occurred while the children played to simulate a kidnapping, which is an "expression of the widespread violence and presence of organized crime," in the state, Redim said in a statement.
According to the investigation the children tied Christopher Raymundo Márquez Mora and put a rod on his neck to choke him. When the child fell down they stoned him, stabbed him in the back and buried him.
Redim added that "urgent measures need to be taken to prevent new cases."
Jorge Enrique González, Chihuahua's prosecutor, said that the children explained that they killed Christopher Raymundo to avoid problems because they had hurt him really bad.
