A few days ago, the British Vogue published an article titled “The Women Up-Ending The Status Quo” , where Yalitza Aparicio was named as one of the women who have challenged the status quo in Hollywood , along with Nicole Kidman, Laura Harrier, Rosamund Pike, and Michelle Yeoh .

The article emphasizes her role in Alfonso Cuarón’s film Roma and tells her story: she is a school teacher with no previous acting experience yet she is taking the film industry by storm and challenging the status quo.
