Vehicular tenure tax is back
Alfonso Ramírez
, the president of the Budget Commission in the lower chamber, said that they are considering the implementation of the vehicular tenure tax throughout the country next year. We've been told that among other alternatives, the federal government is considering the implementation of the vehicular tenure tax in the country, in order to raise money for municipalities and states. Ramírez Cuéllar said that local governments build roads and grant public services and that there are owners of luxury cars that use those services, yet they evade this tax even if they can afford to pay it.
José Narro is worried about the PRI
José Narro
, one of the contenders to lead the PRI , sent a poignant letter to the national PRI leadership , where he expresses his worries. He fears the internal election will be a “simulation” and that the party is facing the “risk of becoming a satellite party in the government , a marginal party.” Why is Narro so worried?
The other envoys
The federal government deployed 6,000 elements from the National Guard at the southern border and minister Marcelo Ebrard also decided to deploy a group of communicators. The members include Óscar Argüelles, Juan Antonio Valtierra, and Alejandro Cuadros . We've been told that they will be based in Tapachula, Chiapas , so that national and international media outlets realize the effort the Mexican government is doing to halt migration flows. The envoys are veterans from the 1994 conflict in Chiapas and have worked in the communication department for the Mexico City department and the federal government.
What about the lack of medicines?
Some Morena senators are more concerned and focused on maintaining a dialogue with the representatives of large corporations in regards to the labels of foods and beverages , than in talking to the federal government about the lack of medicines in the public health sector . We've been told that Morena legislator Miguel Ángel Navarro , the head of the Health Commission, asked another commission member to attend a meeting with national and international companies to discuss the reforms to the General Health Law.
