The UNAM , the National Autonomous University of Mexico , has been named as the bes t University in Latin America by UniRank .

is an international higher education director y featuring reviews and rankings of over 13,600 Universities and Colleges in 200 countries.

The UNAM explained that the purpose of the ranking is to “provide a list of the most renown universities in Latin America .”

The ranking is based on “valid, unbiased and non-influenceable web metrics provided by independent web intelligence sources rather than data submitted by the Universities themselves.”

UniRank

claims that the aim of the ranking is to publish the “ 2019 Latin American University Ranking of the top 200 recognized higher-education institutions in Latin America.

The UNAM is the most prestigious university in Mexico , Latin America, and all over the world. It was over 45,000 students and 5,000 teachers.

Considered as the largest university in Mexico and Latin America , the UNAM was founded in 1910 . Among its former students are three Nobel prizes : Alfonso García Robles , who was awarded the Peace prize in 1982; Octavio Paz won the Literature prize in 1990, and Mario Molin a, who was awarded the Chemistry prize in 1995.
