Students win 8 medals at robotics competition

These IPN students won 5 gold medals in one of the most important robotics contests in Latin America

During the fifth edition of the Robot Games Zero Latitud 2018 , students of the National Polytechnic Institute ( IPN ) won a total of 8 medals – 5 of gold, 1 of silver, and 2 of bronze.

In Quito, Ecuador , these young students participated in the competition which had over 500 contestants from the American and European continent.

The members of Mexico's delegation are all students of the Mechatronics programme of the Interdisciplinary Unit on Advanced Engineering and Technology (UPIITA).

The students participated in six out of the 31 categories of the contests.

The Robot Gamez Zero Latitud contest was born in Ecuador in 2014 and has the most number of categories and members of Latin America, therefore, it has become in the most important robotics competition in the region, as it also belongs to the Latin American Robotics Competition.
