Mexican designers at the 6th Iberoamerican Design Biennial

The 6th Iberoamerican Design Biennial awarded two Mexican projects and gave a special mention to others which are a reference in innovation, talent, development, citizen participation, cooperation, social inclusiveness , among other characteristics.

The event is taking place at the Matadero de Madrid cultural center , where 20 awards and 35 special mentions were granted to those who stand out for their technological research , sustainability , inclusive design, experimentation, and entrepreneurship.

The Mexican studio Tuux won the Best Space and Interiors Design award and a Design Mention for the Culture , for its project in the UNAM 's Constitutions Museum.

The Digital Design award was granted to Estudio Alucin a for their work in “Momento MX” , which is an interactive space that uses voices, collectives, and transits of creative practices in Mexico .

The Esraew+Cadena studio received a mention in the Integral Design category, for their work for the perfume company Xinú , which is inspired by botany .

Among the 434 designers and studios chosen by the Biennial , there are 30 from Mexico , among them: Anambre Casa Creativa; Bgp arquitectura; Cadena y Asociados Concept Design; Cerámica Santa Cruz+Sector11.mx; Coredesign .
