The National Institute of Immigration in Mexico (INM) has handed over to U.S. authorities the American citizen, Luis Macedo, who is currently on the list of the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.
The alleged criminal was part of a criminal organization in the United States and was found during a Control and Verification operation after the Institute of Migration detected that Macedo had entered the country under a false name and had settled in Guadalajara, Jalisco, where he established a barber shop.
He has been signaled as the leader of a criminal gang in Los Angeles, California, and member of another criminal group known as the Latin Kings in Chicago, Illinois. He is wanted for his alleged involvement in the violent death of a 15-year-old boy in Chicago, Illinois, on May 1, 2009.
During an interview, Macedo claimed he left the United States to raise his daughter away from the influence of criminal gangs and denied all knowledge of the crime he was wanted for.
