Graue's diplomatic response
Yesterday, the UNAM dean , Enrique Graue Wiechers , responded to some accusations made after he announced he is looking to lead the UNAM for a second term: “I will continue to be distanced from all political forces,” he said. He also responded to the critiques that claim the university's scientists are “ academic tourists ” by saying that academic mobility positions the UNAM . Graue said that although austerity is healthy, it shouldn't imply shortages or the lack of key projects. He added that if he stays as dean, he will increase the number of students “only if there is specific funding” for this and said that the university “won't grow at the expense of quality education .” Enrique Graue was careful with his statement but quite direct.
Breast cancer patients could be at risk

Olga Sánchez is back from Japan
Last week, Interior Minister Olga Sánchez Cordero was in Japan . Olga Sánchez represented President López Obrador during the ceremony where emperor Naruhito took the throne. Now that the Minister has returned to Mexico , she will go back to her regular schedule , including a 6 a.m. meeting with the security cabinet followed by a busy schedule. At some point today, Sánchez Cordero will share the results of her Japan trip. Now she's back to reality.
