Di Grassi wins Mexico City ePrix

The Brazilian pilot won the first race of its class in the country.

Brazilian Lucas di Grassi, from the ABT Schaeffer Audi Sport, won the Mexico City ePrix overrunning Belgian Jerome D'Ambrosio, from Dragon Racing, who held to second place in a dramatic face-off against Swiss Sebastien Buemi, from Renault e. Dams.

"We were very close. We only had one opportunity to overtake. It was a close race, but fortunately we had the patience to overtake in the exact moment," expressed Di Grassi.

Mexican Salvador Durán, from Auguri, ended in the 16 place, after leaving on the 14 pole position, taking advantage of a punishment against teammate Antonio Félix Da Costa before startup.

The Mexican was the clear favorite for the fans.

With this victory, the Brazilian takes the leadership of the championship after getting to a total 101 points, six over Buemi.
