A group of 19 alleged hijackers arrested by the Federal Police in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, has arrived in Mexico City to be presented before the authorities.
The Federal Police explained that 17 members of the group were presented before the Assistant Attorney General's Office for Special Investigations on Organized Crime (SEIDO), after being arrested in the area of Villa España, where they held three people against their will.
They were also found in possession of military-grade weapons and what appears to be packages of cannabis.
Also, two of the detainees are minors and will be sent to the corresponding authorities.
