Thousands of fans arrived at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez to witness the return of Formula One to the country after 23 years.
The doors opened from 8:00 a.m. and the fans were received with various amenities such as food, music stages, simulators and stalls selling official products.
These last were the most beleaguered by hundreds of people looking for caps and the official program of the day for sale at some US$250, while Ferrari or Mercedes jackets are being offered for US$250 dollars.
