Mexican filmmaker Rodolfo Riva Palacio said that he will take his new Huevocartoon project to the United States.

Initially called “The vampire incident”, the project was meant to be the director's debut film with real actors, but he and his brother Gabriel could not find financial support in Mexico.

“After three years of failed efforts it looks like it will become an eight-chapter miniseries for digital platform. It will be located in a border town and will talk about immigration, with policemen on both sides of the border trying to prevent a virus from spreading”, Riva Palacio explained.

His latest film “Un gallo con muchos huevos” (A rooster with eggs), seen by 3 million viewers in three weeks, was partially financed by Televisa.
