Students of the Teachers Training College of Ayotzinapa and parents of the 43 missing students began a series of protests prior to the first anniversary of the disappearance of the victims in Iguala.

The protesters knocked down the door of Guerrero Attorney General's Office, entered the building, painted slogans on the walls and pasted photos of the missing students. They also smashed the windows of some trucks

Later the demonstrators headed towards the north entrance of Chilpancingo, known as Tierras Prietas, because they were informed that a group of policemen waited for them at Parador del Marqués.
