Jonathan Paredes wins world 27m high diving silver in Kazan

The Mexican diver was second on 596.45

Mexican diver Jonathan Paredes finished second in the 27m high diving competition at the World Championships in Kazan, Russia.

Britain's Gary Hunt won the gold medal while Russia's Artem Silchenko won bronze.

"Many thanks to all the people who has supported me and has been close to me. This medal is more than gold to me. I waited for this competition for two years and the day finally came. Today was one of the happiest days of my life and I love to share it with the people I love. Hugs and greetings from Russia," Paredes wrote on social networks.
