EPN undergoes gallbladder surgery

The Office of the Presidency of the Republic reported that President Enrique Peña Nieto was subjected this morning to a gallbladder intervention in the Central Military Hospital.

The Office indicated that the President presented some physical discomfort very early in the morning, so he was sent to the Hospital and at 7:30 a.m. he was intervened in order to extract his gallbladder.

Peña Nieto left the operating room at 8:25 and the surgery was rated as successful.

In a statement issued a few moments ago it was reported that "the postoperative evolution has been favorable. The head of state is already in his hospital room and will be incorporated into his activities next Monday, June 29".

The report added that at 12:00 p.m. a press conference will provide details on the operation.

It was reported that at 12:00 pm there will be a press conference to publicize the details of the data.
