The National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) rejected the condition imposed by the Ministry of the Interior, which said the government will not negotiate with dissident teachers until they return to classes.

At a press conference, CNTE leaders said they will not return to teach and will continue holding demonstrations to pressure the government.

"We will continue our mobilization and negotiation in the enforcement of the 11-point list of demands presented last May 1," said Ruben Nuñez of Oaxaca section 22.
