Vuelve a la vida un viejo conocido del Centro Histórico
A un costado de la Torre Latinoamericana, un edificio abandonado de finales del siglo XIX.

La edificación llamada El Rule aún parece abandonado y sin grandes avances en su recuperación, pero los mayores resultados de la cirugía integral a la que ha sido sometido desde hace cinco años.

El gobierno del Distrito Federal y la Fundación del Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México, con apoyo del World Monuments Fund (WMF), iniciaron los trabajos de recuperación y rehabilitación integral del inmueble.

Arquitectos e ingenieros han logrado cimentar, apuntalar y consolidar la estructura del edificio de cinco pisos que fue parcialmente demolido y abandonado después de los sismos de septiembre de 1985.

Una vez recuperado el edificio albergará un Centro de Artes y Oficios de Cultura Digital, en el primer piso; una Incubadora de Empresas Culturales, en el segundo, y una Aceleradora de Empresas Turísticas y un Centro de Atención y Protección de Visitantes, en el tercero.

Además, se instalarán una cafetería y zona de gastronomía en el cuarto piso, y un restaurante, en la terraza del quinto piso. En su plaza al aire libre se habilitará un foro multidisciplinario para actividades artísticas y culturales.
