El coro está activo desde 2014. A unos 20 miembros de este coro se unirían 17 residentes de un refugio en Manhattan.

La emblemática sala de conciertos de Nueva York presentó el miércoles por la noche al Dallas Street Choir, un coro integrado por cantantes reclutados de las calles y refugios para indigentes.

Los integrantes del coro vienen y van, no siempre producen el sonido perfecto y hay momentos de ligera cacofonía. "Pero nuestros miembros cantan con el corazón como ningún otro coro con el que haya trabajado”, dijo Palant.
