Padierna and Bejarano are with AMLO

If nothing else happens in the next couple of hours, the spouses Dolores Padierna and René Bejarano, key figures within the left Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), will sign the Unity Agreement with Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), president of the far- left National Regeneration Party (MORENA). We're told discussions have such progress that they have already settled a date, and this Sunday, Mrs. Dolores and Mr. René will be signing the agreement at an event to be held in the Republic Square. It goes without saying that should this agreement be executed, it will be a terrible blow for the PRD; Padierna is the coordinator of the PRD in the Senate and this could leave the PRD without shelter at the High Chamber. As for Bejarano, he is the leader of the PRD movement National Democratic Left, in addition to being the national councilor of the party. There are many biting their nails at the PRD right now.

Anaya, the government, and domestic violence

The lobbying between governors and legislators of the conservative National Action Party (PAN) who disagree with the war their national leader, Ricardo Anaya, has declared against the federal government and the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), has intensified. Our sources say that taking advantage of the presence of some governors today in Mexico City, there will be a lunch in a restaurant in Polanco to analyze the strategies that have to be followed, in order to protect the PAN family from the violent divorce of the couple that once were the PAN national leader and the Federal Government.

The signs of Peña to candidate nominees

After the Assembly of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), the leader of the party representation in the Senate, Emilio Gamboa, has already outed four possible presidential candidate nominees, and all the events they attend are interpreted as political maneuvers. We're told President Enrique Peña Nieto was very kind towards the Secretary of the Treasury and Public Credit, José Antonio Meade, during the event where progress of the Economic Strengthening and Familiy Economy Protection program were presented. The President and the Secretary went down the stairs that lead to the honour courtyard and exchanged jokes and laughter, both at the presidium and during the speeches. When the event concluded, the President requested that Pepe accompanied him to his office, while at the other end of the first row Aurelio Nuño and José Narro just stood there, watching, together with the other guests after the selfies with the President, seeing how both men left through the red carpet stairs. Interpretations in times of outings.

INE enters the debate on money and politics

Now that the debate on money and politics is back on the spotlight of national debate, after the ruling of the Supreme Court in favor of the Kumamoto Law – which determines the amount of public funds a political party is entitled to according to the votes it receives, in the state of Jalisco – the President Councilor of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Lorenzo Córdova, has already organized a meeting on the financing of political parties. It's not a coincidence, we're told, that Mr. Lorenzo has already contacted the independent deputy Pedro Kumamoto, once the resolution of the Court was issued last Monday.
