Despite the Huasteca Potosina has plenty of waterfalls, this is the highest in the Mexican state.
It raises some 340 feet above a river and it is surrounded by the impressive jungle and rock formations.

Hierve el Agua (Water boils) - Oaxaca

Located one and a half hours away from the city of Oaxaca, there is a set of natural rock formations that resemble cascades of water. This beautiful landscape was created by freshwater springs, whose water is over-saturated with calcium carbonate and other minerals. As the water scurries over the cliffs, the excess minerals are deposited

Misol-há - Chiapas

Cascada de Misol-Ha is a waterfall located in Salto de Agua, by the road that leads to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Its water is bright blue color due to the high mineral content in the waterfall.
