AS Roma, current runner-up of the Italian football league, Serie A, has acquired in full the federative rights of Mexican defender, Héctor Moreno, from Netherlands' PSV Eindhoven and one of the captains of his national team.

According to several Italian media, the operation rounded the 6.7 million dollars.

Moreno, 29, "signed a contract that will end on June 30, 2021," the club reported.

The new director of football of AS Roma, Ramón Rodríguez Monchi, who arrived at the institution last April, said that Moreno is a centre-back with a lot of international experience that meets the profile sought in addition to declaring that the Mexican has been one of his goals for a long time, and now, fortunately, circumstances are better for him to arrive in Rome.

Moreno has 10 consecutive seasons in European football and has 79 appearances for Mexico's National Team, where he is already one of the captains, as well as being called to the Confederations Cup to be played in Russia, where he is expected to be part of the starting lineup.
