, current runner-up of the Italian football league, Serie A , has acquired in full the federative rights of Mexican defender, Héctor Moreno , from Netherlands' PSV Eindhoven and one of the captains of his national team.
According to several Italian media, the operation rounded the 6.7 million dollars.
Moreno, 29, "signed a contract that will end on June 30, 2021," the club reported.
The new director of football of AS Roma, Ramón Rodríguez Monchi , who arrived at the institution last April, said that Moreno is a centre-back with a lot of international experience that meets the profile sought in addition to declaring that the Mexican has been one of his goals for a long time, and now, fortunately, circumstances are better for him to arrive in Rome .
Moreno has 10 consecutive seasons in European football and has 79 appearances for Mexico's National Team , where he is already one of the captains, as well as being called to the Confederations Cup to be played in Russia , where he is expected to be part of the starting lineup.
