Mexican actor Gonzalo Vega passes away at 69

The National Association of Actors and the Mexican Cinematography Institute announced the passing away of Mexican actor Gonzalo Vega on their respective twitter accounts.

Many of Vega's peers and journalists have expressed their condolences, which include Javier Poza, Ana María Alvarado, Gustavo Adolfo Infante, Carlos Loret de Mola and José Cárdenas.

Gonzalo Vega starred in numerous theater productions, films and telenovelas between 1968 and 2010, when he retired momentarily after being diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome. However, in 2012, after making a full recovery, Vega starred in the successful Mexican film Nosotros los nobles (The Noble Family).
