The two major Spanish-language television networks in the United States, Univision and Telemundo, are broadcasting special coverages of the first visit of Pope Francis to Mexico.

Univision and Telemundo are broadcasting every detail of the activities of the pope for more than 50 million Hispanics living in the U.S.

The Miami-based network Univision announced it will include in its special coverage titled “Papa Francisco, Peregrino de la Paz” (Pope Francis, Pilgrim of Peace) live broadcasts of the five Masses to be celebrated by the pope during his trip, as well as on-site reporting, updates, commentary and special content across all news programs on ts digital platforms.

Meanwhile, Noticiero Telemundo will include live broadcasts from Mexico City in its special coverage titled "Francisco en Mexico" (Francis in Mexico), with a team of ten journalists and artists like Lucero and Adamari López.

The special coverage of Telemundo started on Saturday from 9:00 am with the arrival of the pope to the Zócalo of Mexico City, and will continue to the Basilica of Guadalupe at 5:00 pm. 

Telemundo will also broadcast the Masses the Pope will lead at a number of other sites around the country. 

The pope arrived yesterday to Mexico City and will return to the Vatican on Wednesday, February 17.
