The Attorney General of the State of Sonora Carlos Navarro Sugich presented the red notices published by Interpol about two men involved in the sale of babies in a state agency.
The pictures are of Vladimir Alfredo Arzate Carbajal, former Vice-Attorney for Children and Family Defense and in charge of the Protege family support hotline, and José Manuel Hernández López, his main accomplice.
"Here we have the Interpol notices that @PGR_mx was kind enough to send me," expressed the state attorney on his Twitter account.
Both men are wanted for the presumed possession, hiding and substitution of a minor, as well as child trafficking. They are both on the lam and an immigration alert has been published for each one of them in 189 countries.
Meanwhile, the president of the State Human Rights Commission in Sonora, Raúl Ramírez Ramírez, reported that 17 cases of baby sales in the hands of Arzate Carbajal have been reported.
