Blockades removed in Reynosa

The multiagency Tamaulipas Coordination Group reported that armored civilians blocked several areas of Tamaulipas in response to the actions by the Federal Police and the Ministry of National Defense.

The official action started at approximately 2:30 p.m. caused attacks against the federal forces in various areas of the city. At 4:30 the tensions ended with no victims or detainees reported.

The blockades in important roads and bridges of the city were removed by the authorities at around 4:00 p.m., with the public transportation units and cargo vehicles used by the criminals taken out of the roads.

Federal Police officers also located a Chevrolet truck used by the criminals, and they found in its interior several guns.

The authorities now control the situation in Reynosa and are looking for the criminals.
