The Colombian authorities, with support from Ecuador, arrested the second in command of the Front 48 of the FARC guerrilla, accused of being a connection with the Sinaloa Cartel, according to official sources.

The man known as "El Loco" was arrested in a rural area of the Colombian department of Putumayo, in the border of Ecuador, according to a press release.

The Ecuadorean army reported on its Twitter account that the detainee is Bartolomé Jamioy Yague.

The suspect is also accused of distributing explosives among the members of the guerrilla group.
